State, Zanu PF siege on citizens’ spills into 2017

New Zimbabwe writes: "

THE 2016 siege on ordinary citizens by the State and Zanu PF activists spilled into this year with a top rights watchdog revealing that over 50 percent of those targeted for political violations in January were people of no known political affiliation.

Since the 2016 anti-government protests which were spearheaded by citizen movements, victims of the country's hostile political environment have since shifted from those of the country′s main opposition MDC-T and other mainstream parties.
