UN says Zim HIV prevalence rate still high, country 5th highest globally

DESPITE the results of the 2015 Zimbabwe Demographic and Health Survey (ZDHS) showing a decrease in HIV prevalence rate from 18 percent to 14 percent over the past 10 years, United Nations Population Fund country representative, Cheikh Tidiane Cisse, says the prevalence rate is still unacceptably high.

During the launch of the report, Cisse said the results were promising-showing that Zimbabwe is on the right track to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals targets.
