Vendors defy police ban on demos, march through Harare

New Zimbabwe writes: "

Last Friday, government invoked some sections of the Public Order and Security Act (POSA) to ban protests in central Harare for a period of two weeks.

But NAVUZ chairman, Sten Zvorwadza, on Monday addressed people gathered outside the POSB building, situated at corner Leopold Takawira and Nelson Mandela, and told them to ignore the government ban.
