Zimbabwe: expectations, anticipation and reality

Gilbert Muponda writes: AFTER being in the diaspora for seven years and following Zimbabwe?s progress, or lack of, through media reports, it has been a great challenge to reconcile my expectations with reality. Being away for so long results in a natural loss of support network and useful contacts.

Despite all the reports that come out, one clear observation is that Zimbabwe is moving forward and this is signified by the extent to which the economy has been localised, with local small and medium sized companies replacing the huge conglomerates in the supply of most basic requirements from food to fuel and most other items.
